NOTE: Our Fall 2009 catalog of fruit trees is now available . We will accept orders for shipment beginning in late November 2009, when our trees go dormant. We will lift and ship as weather permits.

Please feel free to call or e-mail us if you have an issue we can address. Please note that our trees are grafted and grown here and are dug and shipped to you as ordered. Since we do not store dormant trees in cold storage, our shipping season is determined by the local weather.

CRIMEA has large, round and bright yellow fruit. The small tree is attractive and vigorous. You will enjoy this crisp, juicy and tender fruit with its delicious pineapple and citrus-like fragrance.

HAVRAN is a large pear-shaped fruit that sometimes reaches more than 2 lb. The fruit is sweet enough to eat fresh, though the texture is a lot like other quinces. It is from Izmir Agricultural Research and Introduction Center and was introduced to the U.S. by Dr. Elwood Fisher. The cultivar name 'Havran' comes from the name of a town in western Turkey. Turkey has been producing quinces for more than 2000 years and is one of the leading producers in the world. The fruit is very large, ovate-pyriform, with a large oblong neck. The surface is pubescent, yellowish-green to deep yellow with a few small dots. The flesh is pale and a creamy white, coarse grained, subacid, with a very characteristic flavor. The white flesh of this quince is sweeter than American cultivars. The fruit ripens in late September. Hardy in Zones 5-9.

KAUNCHING comes from central Asia in the former Soviet Union. The fruit is very sweet, tender and flavorful. It makes delicious preserves and can be eaten fresh. Kaunching is a popular variety in orchards throughout Central Asia where it is relished in meat and vegetable dishes as well as in desserts. Kaunching produces abundant crops of lemon yellow, grapefruit-size fruit, sweet enough to be eaten fresh and good for making attractive and delicious preserves and baked goods.

KUGANSKAYA comes from southern Caucasus, north of Turkey and Armenia. This exceptional variety bears bountiful crops of large round, sweet fruit. More tender than most quince, Kuganskaya is easy to prepare for making preserves and baked goods. It is an easy to grow small tree with attractive upright growth habit.

Van Deman is a large, irregularly shaped quince selected by Luther Burbank. Good for culinary use in preserves and baking. Heavy bearing.
