Many supporters and well-wishers were on hand to open the Albemarle CiderWorks Tasting Room on July 13th. The event, by invitation only, featured remarks by Virginia Governor Timothy M. Kaine; David Slutzky, Chairman of the Albemarle County Board of Supervisors; Robert S. Bloxom, Secretary of the Secretariat of Agriculture and Forestry; and a special presentation to the Shelton Family from T. Robins Buck, Project Manager for Agribusiness Development Services for the Virginia Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services.

Guests enjoyed the unique flavors of the three cider labels available. An enthusiastic crowd opened the Tasting Room with approval and enthusiasm. Governor Kaine also appreciated the unique flavor of the cider blends.
