Vintage Virginia Apples ...from the rich orchard heritage of Virginia's Blue Ridge Mountains Botetourt Green |
BOTETOURT GREEN is the name given to a tree discovered by Peter Letcher growing along I-64 in Botetourt County,
Virginia. He presumes it to be a chance seedling. It is a good-sized
green apple with a tart-sweet flavor. Has yet to fruit for Vintage Virginia
Apples. May have promise as a dessert apple. |
