...from the rich orchard heritage of Virginia's Blue Ridge Mountains Bartlett Pear |

BARTLETT is a
favorite pear for canning and fresh fruit. The fruit normally is of large size and has a smooth and attractive appearance. The flesh is tender, juicy, buttery and of high dessert quality. The yellow-green skin, long neck and smooth shape make Bartlett an attractive pear. The flesh is juicy and sweet, smooth and creamy. The trees are somewhat self-fruitful; for best production they should be pollinated with another pear variety. Fruit ripens in September, but don't allow it to fully ripen on the tree. Flavor improves in the refrigerator. Hardy in USDA Zones 5 to 8. Excellent for home use on dwarf rootstock. Ripens late August to early September.
