CHALLENGER is disease-resistant, has a high chill requirement, ripens early to mid season, has cold hardy buds and has consistent cropping. Not only is the tree tough, but the freestone fruit have an excellent flavor and texture. This variety is an offspring of the old Redhaven peach. It ripens mid to late July and is hardy in zones 5-7. |
