GIALLA DI PADOVA is an ancient Roman fruit, introduced to the US and renamed Gold in 1832. Large fruit with a clear golden-yellow skin and flesh. Well-ripened fruit is melting, juicy and sweet with an apricot-like flavor. Large, showy flowers. Probably needs high heat to ripen satisfactorily.
