Italian Prune Plum
ITALIAN PRUNE
is a large oval plum with purple-to-dark blue skin. It is a freestone plum with greenish-yellow flesh. It has a rich flavor and is very sweet when fully ripe. It is delicious fresh, dried or canned. It has a vigorous, cold hardy tree that blooms late. The fruit has a late summer harvest and the chilling requirement is 800 hours. The tree is self-fruitful. The tree often over-bears and will need thinning.
