Good for fresh eating, cooking, canning and freezing. Excellent flavor and texture, low acid. Superb, taste test winner; requires little or no thinning; excellent for the home orchard. Fruit hangs well to the tree; holds up well after picking. Has good handling and holding qualities. Self-fruitful. Trees are sturdy, vigorous, heavy croppers; somewhat bud tender. Blooms early. Reliable producer even when weather during bloom is cool and wet. Susceptible to peach leaf curl, brown rot, Oriental fruit moth and peach twig borer. Ripens 10-12 days before Elberta. Requires 750 hours of chilling. Hardy in Zones 5-8. |
