VETERAN is an old Canadian variety, much hardier than most peaches. This is an excellent canning and freezing peach. It is winter hardy and late blooming with yellow to yellow orange skin and freestone when fully ripe. Richly flavored and very sweet. Bears early with consistent yields. A reliable producer in cold, wet springs. Sets crops when other blossoms are killed by frost. High chill.
