Tried it with a 'twist' also. For version#2, (which I'm sure has been done but not by me 'til now,) substituted fresh pressed apple cider for the maple syrup. Cider being not as thick, but equally tasty, needed two shots to balance with the Vodka shot. Topped up with 3 shots of Goldrush made for very good drinking. IMHO, the fresh and hard ciders together are magic.
